What we collect

Little Home is a reading site. The only personal information we ask for is your email address, and only if you sign up for our newsletter or send us a message through the contact form.

Email signup: we store your address and the page you signed up from, and use it only to send you the newsletter and free printables you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Contact form: we store your name, email and message so we can reply. We do not sell or share either list.

Cookie policy

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on Little Home. Here is everything this site stores, and why:

• Your choices, on your device only: whether you closed the cookie notice, articles you saved, and what you ticked in our checklists and planners. This sits in your browser's local storage, is never sent to us, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings.
• A visit id for this tab: a random id kept in session storage (it disappears when you close the tab) so our analytics can tell one visit from the next. It is not a cookie and is not shared with anyone.
• Amazon and other shops: when you click a "Check price on Amazon" button, you leave our site and Amazon sets its own cookies under its own policy, which is how it knows the visit came from us.
• Site owners only: signing in to our private admin area sets a login cookie. Visitors never get it.

Cookies and analytics

We run our own, cookie-free analytics. It counts anonymous visits, which pages are read, how long they stay open and which buttons are clicked (for example a share button or a link to Amazon). To tell visits apart within a day we store a one-way hash of your connection and browser details, together with a secret that changes every day. We never store your IP address, and the hash cannot be turned back into one. Analytics records are deleted after 13 months.

Some of our tools (checklists, the registry builder, saved articles) remember your choices in your own browser so you can come back to them. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us. We set no advertising cookies and we honor the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.
